The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate, made a secret trip to India without any security, according to Sanjoy Roy, the co-founder of a charity in New Delhi. This revelation comes amidst Prince Harry’s recent complaints about his security arrangements in Britain.

He told the BBC: “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”

Roy, who co-founded the Salaam Baalak Trust center in New Delhi, shared details about William and Kate’s visit. The Duke of Sussex’s stance on security is starkly different from his brother’s approach.

Roy recalled how Royal representatives contacted him, saying: “They’re happy to come without security.”

Despite his attempts to dissuade them due to safety concerns, William and Kate insisted on visiting, reports the Express.

Roy shared these insights while speaking to guests at a Jaipur Literature Festival London reception at the British Library. He also recounted the chaos that ensued when Tony and Cherie Blair visited with press involvement, describing it as a “It was just a circus. I didn’t want a circus for the kids. The Press came. It was just not nice. That was not pleasant for the children at the center.”

In contrast, he praised William and Catherine for their respectful demeanor during their visit.

The centre’s children have predominantly experienced physical and sexual abuse, in addition to being exploited through human trafficking and gang activity. By choosing to forgo protection during their visit to the railway station centre, the couple showed their dedication to genuinely connecting with those who need help.

Prince Harry has frequently expressed concerns regarding the risks his family may face while visiting the UK.

He experienced a major setback earlier this year when the Court of Appeal denied his UK security appeal. Following the court’s decision, the prince stated, “I can’t see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”

At the time, in an interview with BBC America, Prince Harry mentioned: “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious.”

He also pointed out that the dispute regarding his security had “always been the sticking point”.

Buckingham Palace released a statement, a rare response to Harry’s comments. The statement read: “All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion.”
