1. Strange. I would have thought that it was already part of their job to stop people boarding planes without valid visas. How naive of me.

2. Embarrassing how the guardian present this as a negative.

   “The scheme, delivered by the Foreign Office, deputises airline workers as frontline immigration officers, blocking passengers from even attempting to travel without the correct paperwork.”

   They already do this with passports fgs it’s entirely sensible.
