An old school friend made his fortune in the pharmaceutical industry and retired at 41 to become a full-time Freddie Mercury impersonator. Today he headlined a free music festival in the tiny village we grew up in. I’m so proud of him.

  1. So he made a small fortune and then just said, “I want to break free” one day?

  2. Exactly what kind of “pharmaceuticals” are we talking about here?

  3. He’d be good as a Jimi Hendrix impersonator, he looks nothing like him as well

  4. So you’re saying he’s no longer a poor boy from a poor family?

  5. I think maybe he didn’t retire and that’s just his full time job 😂

  6. And odd way of getting there but a neat road nonetheless.

  7. What a shift in career choices! It’s refreshing to see someone following their heart and having fun

  8. Reddit will simultaneously seethe over privatised healthcare but also congratulate someone for retiring at 41 through selling pharmaceuticals

  9. I recently went to a housewarming. There were a few people from my secondary school I hadn’t seen in over 20 years. I was told that one of my old friends was worth a fortune now. He had told my teacher that I was the only one who had helped him when he was getting bullied. I was being bullied myself. I believe I helped him come out of his shell. It made me feel proud to hear he has done well for himself.

Not that relevant but wanted to share. Good for your friend!

  10. What’s the difference between a town and a village

  11. What a great guy, profiting off of people’s health. Good man.

  12. So you can just decide to be a Freddie impersonator. Pretty cool

  13. What’s the tribute band’s name? I watched queen supreme a couple years ago and they were immense

  14. I love fantastical stories like this.

    It’s a kind of magic

  15. Love stories like this.

Good for him and I wish him all the best.

  16. Holy shit talk about living your best life – retired at 41 and doing professional karaoke. Lad nailing it.

  17. Alright folks pack it up. This man won at life and can not be outdone
