  1. Excerpt:

A Manchester Evening News investigation has in recent weeks revealed how cheaply-made items are being made in bulk and actually shipped from warehouses in China. James Holt reports on the people who are being scammed

  2. Before China, it was Russia. Ever since eCommerce was created, there’s been scam sites.

They either sell knock off shite, or appear to sell quality goods at ridiculously low prices, but obviously they’ll never arrive

I see them all of the time, as I’ve been renovating and refurbishing..lights are a pretty common one, the stores appear to be UK based, but they’re Chinese, sometimes the prices are significantly lower than everywhere else, for reputable brands occasionally I see folk on Reddit asking how to fit them, and then sparkies chime in with what they have is dangerous, it’s not the British, Italian or German company they thought they were buying, obviously snide.

It’s not easy for everyone, but due diligence is key. Check them out, find reviews, look on socials, check companies house. Satisfied? Use PayPal or a credit card, you ain’t out of the woods, yet.
