5. The crazy thing is, the judges ruled in our favour!!! Read on before you rage out think you know better.

   The decision sought was if we illegally evicted the inhabitants (which we did) and sovereignty was also sneaked in, even though it was not allowed.

   The court could not rule on sovereignty as they didn’t have the right or power, so if you read the actual decisions from each judges, most refused to make a decision on sovereignty because they didn’t have the power, and one ruled against both as she saw it as a way to try and unlawfully sneak in a sovereignty decision.

   Basically we won and paid out like losers because of our incompetent government.

6. It was never their island. Why is Smarmer even giving it to them in the first place, much less forcing British taxpayers to subsidise Mauritian taxpayers for the rest of their lives.

9. Love that all the right wingers are frothing over this. I doubt any of these negative nancies would be able to point out the chagos islands on the map, and for sure hadn’t heard of it until this story appeared in the media. Truly pathetic.
