If You Thought Donald Trump Would Never Do This, You’re an Idiot. The most pernicious delusion of this era has been the idea that Trump is “the peace president.” His decision to bomb Iran shatters this myth.

Its not long fun for him to simply kill Americans anymore. Need something a little more global to distract.

Who’s surprised? Did he not bomb an Iranian general as a distraction from his first impeachment?
Didn’t he already bomb them in the first term?
Gonna bomb them into piece! Gonna get the Nobell Piece Prize!!!
So, the guy who was talking about annexing Canada, Panama, and Greenland 8 months ago isn’t a peace bringer? Color me shocked…
Vance says he didn’t bomb Iran, he bombed Iran’s nuclear capabilities. See that is totally different.
This is where he doubles down on Greenland and Canada becoming part of the US.
Please never forget that our President won a free election, and within a month, dismantled the government agencies that were charged with ensuring election security and preventing voter fraud.
The guy who lead an insurrection and stood in the streets of DC holding a Bible during the BLM protests. That guy?
The guy whose incompetence led to millions of deaths due to Covid? That guy?
The guy under whose watch expressed no compassion for victims of natural disasters, mass shootings or white supremacist attacks and started off his first reign with bluster about carpet bombing Syria? That guy is a pacifist?
Trump is and always has been a horrible human being. I absolutely despise him and I am truly embarrassed as a soul born US citizen that he is the commander in chief, again. The damage he’s done and will continue to do will affect me and my country for at least the remaining years I have left (which hopefully is still 20+ years away). FYI I’m an old white guy, and an independent voter.
🇨🇦 He didn’t have much choice.
Cutting aid to all those starving children in Africa didn’t get him a Nobel Peace Prize. Helping Netenyahu kill all those palestinians didn’t get him a Nobel. Abandoning Ukraine in the middle of a war with the dictator he fawns over didn’t get him a Nobel. Threatening to invade Greenland, Panama, and Canada didn’t get him a Nobel. Launching a “Trade War” with the entire world didn’t get him a Nobel.
Obviously, Trump has no choice but to keep doubling down until the Nobel Peace Prize Committee sees things his way. Let’s hope this stops short of global thermonuclear conflagration.
Since MAGA’s favorite go-to what’aboutism is Obama drones in Yemen & Syria
I asked ChatGPT how many lbs of munitions were dropped during Trumps 1st administration.. trumps 1st year a 28% increase
Over 4 years, over 30million pounds
Trump did more in 4 years, then Obama in 8…. Not the flex a “anti-war politician “ thinks it is
The greatest bit of evidence that Donald Trump’s words are false are Donald Trump’s actions.
Remember when he was “now going to become presidential” and he gave a speech to the boyscouts about the women he banged and how big his dick is?
People give him the benefit of the doubt that he is at least a functioning human being.
Even SNL has a non-obese person who can complete thoughts and sentences.
This is a guy who felated a microphone in front of his crowd.
Trump said days ago that he was gonna give the situation 2 weeks, meaning he had no idea what to do. He has no moral, ethical, intellectual, or idealogical direction. He just knows when somebody gives him something.
It’s the same every time. Goes from “he’s just joking” to “it seems like he’s actually going to do it, I’m not sure how I feel,” to “ok he did it, and it’s not that bad,” to “this had to be done and trumps a genius for doing it.”
you’re an idiot if you think you know what trump will do. you’re an MAGAT if you believe anything trump says
He was never a peace President. I want to smash my head against a wall every time they roll that out. He increased overseas bombings more than anyone. But it was business as usual so the media never touched it.
Makes me sick that people even entertain the thought that he was/is peaceful. And then they keep trotting this Orwellian peace through strength bullshit and I feel like I’m going insane.
HIS BASE WONT CARE, THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF SELF-REFLECTION OR CRITICAL THINKING.
Thank you for your attention in this matter
You mean the guy who:
* Unilaterally shit canned the agreement that prevented exactly this situation
* Abandoned the Afghan government to surrender the country directly to the Taliban, timed to happen in the next administration
* Sabre rattles like a third world dictator
* Entered office immediately babbling about invading Greenland
* Entered office immediately babbling about invading Canada
* Holds Ukraine hostage demanding they give him dirt in Biden
* Etc etc etc
Who the fuck thought this guy was peaceful?
Who the F ever called him the peace president?
He has never stood for peace. He is about hate and division.
Throughout both of his presidencies, Mr. so-called “peacemaker” and future Nobel Prize winner has only managed to aggravate tensions with Iran and increase provocations in the middle east.
Trump escalated our country’s wars in multiple theaters, leading to massive casualties in the Middle East. In Afghanistan, he substantially increased the number of airstrikes. In Yemen, he expanded U.S. counterterrorism activities and extended his support for the violent Saudi-led war against the Houthis.
In fact, congress had to pass two historic war powers resolution during Trump’s first term due to his appetite for interventionism and his penchant for escalating conflicts overseas
The first was passed to end his military involvement in the war in Yemen, and the second was passed in order to prevent the possibility of war with Iran after Trump’s decision to bomb an Iranian general.
During the first Trump administration, the U.S. was also engaged in military conflicts in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan and more than 60 American soldiers died in hostile action.
Trump’s disastrous foreign policy actions have strained our alliances; emboldened our enemies; inflamed tensions around the world, and have often interfered in the political and bloody affairs of foreign nations.
Trump has also made a habit of cozying up to dictators and autocrats around the world, viewing them as figures to emulate and advocate for while forming cordial relationships with them in order to broker deals that will deepen his own pockets at the expense of the American people.
And despite persistent criticisms—especially from Republicans—directed at Obama for his administration’s excessive use of drone strikes in the Middle East, it was officially Donald Trump who dropped more bombs on foreign soil within the first few years of his previous term alone, than were dropped during Obama’s entire eight years as president.
What’s more, Trump reversed Obama-era policy that required transparency and accountability in reporting on drone strike deaths and casualties—particularly when it came to civilians outside of war zones.
In direct response to Trump’s actions on foreign policy, Iran has been threatening retaliation against the US—and Trump specifically—for years. To be more specific, Iran has been plotting its revenge ever since Trump authorized the assassination of General Soleimani.
Iran launched attacks on US military bases in Iraq in response to Trump’s strike that killed the General. Dozens of military personnel suffered from traumatic brain injuries as a result of the attack.
When Trump was confronted about it, he brushed their injuries off as mere “headaches.” Which really sent a heartfelt message to the troops.
Since then, Iran has been upscaling its nuclear program and escalating its cyber attacks against the US.
Not to mention, there have been several reports of Iranian-planned assassination attempts against Trump and some of his allies.
And Keep in mind that Trump’s withdrawal from the previous agreement only heightened tensions between our two countries. It also destabilized the middle east, strained our relationships with allies who co-signed on the deal, and increased provocations in the region; including confrontations in the Persian Gulf. And as a result, Iran began reducing its compliance with the JCPOA by enriching its uranium to higher levels of purity; allowing the country to enhance its nuclear program and raising fears of Iran becoming a nuclear power.
This is all to say that Trump’s foreign policy, including his decision to withdraw from the JCPOA out of sheer spite for Obama, along with his choice to remain chummy with Netanyahu over the years, has not only aggravated tensions in the Middle East, but has also affected this outcome. And if there’s any possibility that Iran responds by attacking Americans overseas—or worse—that possibility exists as a direct result of Trump’s actions.
During his first term, Trump’s contentious moves in Israel also contributed to Middle East tensions. At Netanyahu’s behest, Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved the American embassy there, along with all diplomatic operations. He also officially acknowledged Israel’s controversial annexation of Golan heights.
Trump also literally negotiated with terrorists and ordered direct talks with the Taliban without consulting with our allies and partners or allowing the Afghan government at the negotiating table
Trump insulted our country by publicly inviting the Taliban to Camp David on the anniversary of 9/11.
As part of the Afghanistan withdrawal deal, Trump also pressured the Afghan government to release 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison, including senior war commanders, without securing the release of the only American hostage known to be held by the Taliban.
Trump also abandoned our Kurdish allies in Syria. The Kurds have fought in more wars alongside U.S. troops than Donald “bone spurs” Trump ever did. This move helped aid Putin’s proxy wars by allowing Russian backed Syrian forces to move into parts of northern Syria to fill the power void left by the US withdrawal. These Russian proxies were also able to take control over abandoned US outposts.
Trump campaigned against the previous Iran nuclear deal brokered under Obama and withdrew from it solely out of his resentment for the man. And now as a result of him abandoning that deal, and as a consequence of his disastrous foreign policy and his failure to bring his brilliant “3D chess” negotiating skills to the table, the US has entered a war that may have otherwise been avoided.
What happened to ending “forever wars?” What happened to “bringing peace to the middle east?” What happened to “America First?” What happened to ending the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza on “day one?”
Oh, I know! The answer is that Donald Trump is a lawless demagogue, pathological liar and deranged narcissist who brings chaos and destruction with him wherever he goes. He’s as incompetent as he is dangerous.
What could go wrong with destabilizing the Middle East again and triggering a regional war, especially at a time when the world is on edge? When entering such a war could provoke our vengeful adversaries in foreign countries like Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, even Russia and China, into forming an “axis of resistance” and retaliating against a United States that is currently at war with itself.
An America that’s more divided than it’s ever been in recent history, and under the supervision of a weak and incompetent “commander in chief” who has been siccing this country’s military on the citizens it’s supposed to protect.
A vulnerable and ineffective president who has spent the last five months alienating some of our most trusted allies and trade partners while weakening our alliances with western countries.
I give it two days before even the pretend anti war magas start acting like this is what they always wanted. I don’t know how many times journalists feel like they need to point out the hypocrisy of the right because the right does not care about being hypocrites. They want what they want when they want it and will tell any lie and do anything to get it. We are dealing with about 77 million narcissists who can do no wrong in their own minds. I really don’t know how we come out of this ok. America is going to be a mess for decades to come.
