The first wave of tours will launch in South Australia in September 2025, featuring immersive itineraries such as the South Australia Outback Adventure, Remarkable Adelaide to Kangaroo Island, and South Australian Eyre Peninsula Escape. Additional small group departures will also be introduced for the Perfect Tasmania and New Zealand’s Southern Spirit tours during the 2025/2026 season.

AAT Kings plans to expand its Small Group product line in July 2025 with the release of the full 2026/2027 tour season, which will include destinations in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Each Small Group tour will include unique accommodations like Wilpena Pound Resort, nestled within South Australia’s Flinders Ranges. Guests will also have the opportunity to enhance their itineraries with optional experiences, such as charter flights over Tasmania’s South West Wilderness or culinary adventures like Dunedin Craft Distiller’s ‘Bread to Bottle Tour’.

The new small group itineraries will also incorporate the operator’s MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experiences, promoting sustainable tourism and community engagement. One such example is the Ridgetop Track in South Australia’s Arkaroola region, where AAT Kings donates $10 per guest to support local education and conservation initiatives. Examples of additional itineraries, which will be added to the Small Group Tours product as part of the 2026/27 season include the Tasmania & Flinders Island Explorer, Untamed New Zealand, and an Outback Icons tour.
