Good now give Ukraine more weapons so it can defeat ruzzia
Now? You mean always.
This has remained pretty much the case since Ukraine kicked the Russians out of Kyiv 3 years ago. The world just hasn’t been fucking paying enough attention.
They never had a chance and now NK isn’t sending troops and Iran can ship drones. Their economy is about to hit a recession. Putin has nothing and his orange puppet is too mentally gone to help him now.
Doesn’t that mean that they have always been incapable of defeating Ukraine? Cause if they were they would have.
Ok, genuine question: what happened to all that tanks Russia supposedly was saving for this offensive?
Russia was demonstrably incapable of defeating Ukraine even back in the first months of the war. Ukraine’s ability to inflict significantly disproportionate losses was never going to add up for Russia.
Only if one has been seduced by the endless refrain of self-proclaimed “serious” observers, that Russia is in some vague way too powerful and that Putin simply must be allowed to win, would this be any kind of late-breaking revelation. Thus, many people will couch it in some kind of face-saving excuse. “Well like… it wasn’t impossible *before* you see. It just became impossible just now.”
But all of that so-called serious, allegedly “unbiased” analysis — they always love to say that they are “trying to take an unbiased view” — was when you boil it down just Kremlin propaganda. You start with the premise that Putin must win, that Russia cannot be allowed to lose, and then you rationalize your way back from that.
At least this article allows as how Russia may have lost the ability to defeat Ukraine a year ago. That’s something. As far as I’m concerned, Russia lost the moment they ordered inadequate, undersupplied, underequipped armies across the line, on the very first day.
I thought we had figured that out on February 25, 2022?
I’ve noticed this blog tends to jump to big conclusions based on small developments if they favor Ukraine. I don’t think it can be drawn that Russia’s offensive completely failed based off about 3 weeks. Things are slowing down in Sumy but I have noticed when one section slows down, another will ramp up as the resources from one section of the frontline had to be moved.
Hoo boy. The bots ain’t gonna like that headline.
Slava!
Yeah, buty they’re able to drag the conflict probably linger than the UA.
I was told they didn’t have the cards. Hmm. Seems like they do.
I hate how western media barely mentions this and instead just parrots the Kremlin’s narratives how Ukraine has basically already lost, how the sanctions don’t work (but we should also abolish the sanctions) and how sending weapons to Ukraine means WWIII.
Why is nobody talking about the fact that the 3-day-special-military-operation is now lasting more than 3 years. 3 YEARS and Russia is unable to break through Ukrainian lines. Territorial gains the size of San Marino are hailed as great military successes. Why don’t we talk about how Russia is unable to control its own territory?
