It really is and it’s what I love the most about London.
Reddit echo chambers and racist Facebook posts aside, it’s lovely to see how we all mesh and I love meeting people from all around the world from Somalia to Switzerland.
“According to locals” kinda makes it fall flat to me, even though I would say the same about London.
I know plenty of Americans in similarly metropolitan cities, especially New York, often claim the same.
What is “local”
I’ve been here 7 years and I feel like I can wear whatever I want, that I can mostly satisfy any food cravings I get (though obviously nothing beats the taste of home), that I’ve gotten to try cuisines that I have never had a chance to sample before, found myself at festivals and cultural events where everyone is welcome to enjoy themselves, had the relative freedom to protest and express my political views and generally felt like I’ve quickly become part of the city and my local community.
I’ve also faced racist micro aggressions, sexual fetishisation and complete ignorance from people, but the good generally outweighs the bad. I’m not sure if London is the *most* diverse and inclusive, but it’s certainly up there.
According to locals 😂😂 Londoners would say it’s the most affordable in the world too also the one with the prettiest people also the biggest also the one with the most people with special talents.
Aka locals will say anything positive about London
I feel the same! The locals are diverse themselves, we’ve been places and there’s none quite like London!
I don’t really understand what that means. Diverse *and* inclusive?
It’s certainly diverse. It’s also the most homophobic region in the country by some margin, presumably because of that diversity.
London men have the biggest dicks in the world, according to local men.
At least they were honest with the headline, instantly rendering this article as filler

As someone who has lived in a lot of cosmopolitan cities including Paris New York and London, and traveled around the world, it really really is the most diverse city in the world.
I always wonder how a “local” is defined in London especially by redditors.
Very few people I knew in London planned to stay and die in London even if among the precious few who bought a place. I never knew anyone who got social housing.
Many loved it but moved out eventually. And I can’t remember a single one who was actually born in London. It seemed to be a place solely of people living there and enjoying their life for a few years/building a career until they had kids/wanted kids or wanted to “settle down”
Isn’t all this diversity the cause of crime, lawlessness and litter?
word 😀
As an immigrant I have never felt welcomed, but not unwelcomed either (*except few minor situations).
London doesn’t care and that’s sad, it’s becoming a bit like a melting pot that tastes like nothing and that you can find in many other places (NYC, Toronto, Melbourne…)
London men the most satisfying lovers in the world, according to London men.
