  1. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me again, and again, and again, and again and eventually I’ll give in. Really feels Cuomo is going to coast here.

  2. All I’ve seen is primary polling, has anyone started general election polling for the likely candidates?

  3. Anyone in NYC who can give a good assessment of what kind of people are turning out today so far?

  4. Make sure that:

    1. You rank Zohran Mamdani highest on your ballot. (Or at least rank him without ranking Cuomo)
    2. You fill your entire slate, meaning you place a vote in each spot on your ranked ballot (I believe there are 5).
    3. You do not rank Andrew Cuomo whatsoever.

    Make NYC affordable.

This is an election of Cash vs Canvassing. Old guard vs New Energy. It would be a much better take away for the whole DNC that young voter enthusiasm and on the ground campaigns is a better option than spending millions on TV ads.

  5. This is not my election but if you think a 46yo veteran is ever going to vote for a 20 something socialist instead of an established candidate, you’d be fucking right. Keep them coming!

  6. I’m just here to see what the conspiracy theories are being floated in the event Zohran loses

I’ve already collected DNC AIPAC Manufactured consent

    Any novel ones?

  7. Absentee ballots can come in until next Tuesday, which can affect the order of vote transfer.

  8. Cuomo has said he is going to run in the General no matter win or lose tonight.

the results of primary winner won’t be known for weeks.

If cuomo is going to keep campaigning as if today doesn’t matter than there is high chance zohran does the same.

We could be looking at a mayoral race where the dem primary is essentially irrelevant.

If zohran is sincere about his mission then he afford to sit out a couple weeks waiting for dem primary results.

Super interesting dynamic and it shows the dem party is weak if its primary doesn’t really matter.

  9. From May 6th:

    >Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced plans Tuesday to run for New York City mayor on an independent ballot line regardless of whether he wins the Democratic primary.

    >Cuomo has always been one to play political chess 20 moves ahead of the next guy, so in what some might call an attempt to checkmate his opponents, he’s forming the “Fight and Deliver Party” so he can be on the ballot whether or not he wins the Democratic primary.

    >Cuomo says it will be a way for disillusioned Democrats, Republicans and independents to vote for him.

    >”This November, in addition to securing the Democratic nomination, my campaign will work to build the largest possible coalition and secure the biggest possible mandate. We will be responsive to those who want to support my candidacy, but who would like an alternate way to do it,” Cuomo said.

    I hate that man.

Vote today(Do not rank Cuomo) and vote in November(Do not vote for Cuomo).

  10. NYC will reject socialism.

Government control of private enterprises will never work.

  11. I’ll be voting after work today. Most of my coworkers say cost of living and housing are their biggest concerns and what they’re voting for, which makes sense.

Edit: Out of curiosity I polled my direct coworkers (11 people) and most of them are voting for Lander.

  12. Happy to say I ranked Paperboy Prince as 4th and Cuomo not at all.

Also happy to say I ranked Zohran 1st!

  13. If Zohran doesn’t win here I think progressive politics is truly going to be dead in the US for my lifetime.
It was a decade ago I thought for the first time that liberals couldn’t possibly tolerate democrat party bullshit anymore, but here we are. I don’t know how much more proof the average liberal needs to see how inept their leaders are.

  14. Voted Zohran #1 and didn’t rank Cuomo

I think this is going to be a real nail biter, there has been an unholy amount of attack ads against Zohran so Cuomo campaign has to be looking at internals that is seriously spooking them

But keep expectations low, in spite of all of the scandals, Cuomo still has a good deal of pull in this city and establishment here is running on all cylinders to try to ensure his victory

Treat a Zohran victory as one of the biggest political upsets of our time (that i hope with all my soul that it happens)

  15. Rooting for Zohran here from Ohio. If Cuomo can get re-elected after his sexual harassment shit, this country might be beyond saving.

  16. Eric Adams sold out his country for air miles…and yet was the only NYC Mayor in eons to make forward progress on trash containerization. He is simultaneously the most and least-New York individual alive. His public comments routinely drift into eccentric pablum like a drunk driver veering across the lanes of the English language.

In a way, I’ll miss hearing about him.

  17. NYC Election Day Cumulative (6 AM to Noon)

    Brooklyn 81,414 votes (36.8%)
    Manhattan 65,117 votes (29.4%)
    Queens 44,450 votes (20.1%)
    Bronx 24,423 votes (11.0%)
    Staten Island 5,801 votes (2.3%)

  18. Reposting this as my comment was deleted (apparently it was too “meta”?). Coworkers are majority voting Lander but then not taking advantage of ranked voting and putting anyone else down. Most of our customers are voting Cuomo I believe.

  19. I still think it’s wild that Cuomo went full Islamophobia to paint Zohran as an antisemite. Sure, Zohran struggled with some answers, but generally he had pretty appealing responses. Then people like Clinton and Clyburn endorsed Islamophobia via their endorsement of Cuomo. I hope the establishment doesn’t get rewarded for using NYs Jewish population as pawns. I still don’t understand what Cuomo will do to protect Jewish NYers except for making it so protestors can’t wear masks while police can.

  20. I hate that this mayor race is being viewed as a referendum between moderate policies and progressive policies. I also hate that voting for who you think is electable in a primary has creeped into the voting conscious. 1. Cuomo shouldn’t be mayor because his mile long list of scandals. He’s a fine candidate that can coexist with progressives. 2. You should always vote for the candidate that best represents you and your views especially in a primary.
