Not something you see everyday

  1. About time some of them are fucking nuts. Especially night busses.

  2. I quite enjoy bus drivers going fast, especially if the route goes on a motorway or if I need the hopper fare thing. Some people just spam tf out of the stop button so going faster saves some time.

  3. They were always overtaking me in their bus lane while I was sitting at the 20mph limit, maybe 21 (22mph triggered a speeding report we’d be pulled up on, sometimes during the shift).

Annoyed the piss out of me.

  4. Apologise to the passengers.

  5. But this is the only good part about the buses. Night buses are legendary for this. The police are just going to make this guy drive like an absolute jobsworth now..

Obviously idk full details, maybe fully deserved from driver. But if it’s for technicality like 5mph over limit whilst going downhill on empty wide road at night in summer conditions, then is it really worth the likely response from the bus driver, who will now go 5 below the speed limit, and cause how many road rage drivers around that bus, every day

  6. London busses can be absolutely crazy. Yesterday I was on a bus where the driver was repeatedly letting people on, but not letting them off. It was absolutely rammed. People were shouting, it was a whole mess.

A couple years ago one bumped into a car’s lefthand side and intentionally pushed it into the oncoming traffic lane. Wild.

  7. I’ve lived in London for over a decade and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been on a bus and the driver has pulled away, braked and stopped smoothly. Every other journey has felt like they are always making up for lost time and rushing/speeding.

  8. The fuckers that drive on the country lanes don’t take any prisoners i can tell you

  9. Sometimes they like to think they’re Keanu Reeves and slowing down would blow up the bus, and usually when I’m trying to walk down the stairs.

  10. Have to know which service this was it can’t be any of the ones south of Croydon cause they crawl everywhere

  11. I think since I started cycling the respect I have for bus drivers has dropped quite a bit. The rate of near-passes compared to other drivers on the road is ridiculous. Long vehicles in general have a real bad habit of overtaking but not waiting to clear you before starting a merge.

  12. God forbid working class people get home slightly earlier!

  13. Look when your on ot and the boss tells you uts job and done, he doesn’t mean take the first hostages and bomb it till you back at the depot

  14. I was once on a bus where the driver kept forgetting to close the doors. Would repeatedly drive off with them fully open and what’s even crazier were all the people just standing there and not saying anything.

  15. I’ve been on a bus and it was hitting speed bumps like crazy. They act like they have no accountability sometimes.

  16. I used to live at the end of a bus route and I think the driver didn’t see me at the back and hit the accelerator. An alarm went off saying something like “this vehicle has been hijacked”, it was terrifying

  17. Bus drivers never seem to be able to stop on a spot. Every day they overshoot the queue and we all shuffle to the left to get on. I sometimes ponder how often they rear end stopped traffic when driving their own vehicles?

  18. I got on the 243 to Wood Green at 2am Friday morning.. The driver was doing 40 in a 20. Sat upstairs by the big windscreen. I’m a speed junkie but this driver was tooo reckless and dangerous. I hopped off a stop early 😬

  19. Has to be weird changing between driving a bus and car every day. Buses actually have surprising acceleration from like 0-10mph especially given the size. Guess they’re hybrid and the electric motor is to thank.
