Israel: Doubts about the state of Iran’s nuclear facilities could shake Netanyahu • FRANCE 24

been saved well let’s cross live to Jerusalem speak to our correspondent Ngatanapolski who joins us from there noga so far then um it does seem to largely be holding doesn’t it Very much so Stuart um you know children are back on the streets parents are taking their kids to schools it seems an almost instantaneous uh return to normality for Israelis uh for good and for bad normality in terms of uh the ability to go to a restaurant again the ability to resume a working routine and on the other hand also the miserable normality for Israelis of a return in a harsh way to the realities of the ongoing uh war in Gaza that’s now hitting its 630th day meanwhile Noga we’ve been reporting on that leak of this US intelligence report assuming it’s true of course how’s it going down there That’s a really interesting question here so the Israeli government using its own leaking has been pushing back and an senior Israeli official speaking to political correspondents here said that the what they saw in the initial US intelligence report which no one denies is real is quote delusional saying that the facilities were completely obliterated quoting President Trump um it’s of course important to remember how much is staked both for Donald Trump and for Benjamin Netanyahu how much is staked on the obliteration of this uh Iranian nuclear program so I think we have to underscore the fact that what Donald Trump says and what the report says are not actually contradictory the facilities that may have been completely obliterated but the knowledge and the fistal material required for Iran to move ahead and and proceed with its nuclear program apparently have not been obliterated those two things can be true for Benjamin Netanyahu here in Israel if it emerges within a few weeks or months that in fact the nuclear program has not been obliterated and a nuclear threat from Iran remains present against Israelis that will be quite a devastating blow to him he’s devoted the last 30 years of his life to present himself as Israel’s defender against this Iranian nuclear program and he staked an enormous amount on bringing Donald Trump into this i would like to add that throughout these 12 days of war with Iran Israeli soldiers kept falling in the fighting in Gaza today uh Israelis woke up to a pretty catastrophic reality of seven soldiers killed in a single explosive device incident in Gaza and even a poll released yesterday it’s just one poll but this poll does not show Israelis flocking back to Netanyahu as he had expected in fact it shows very little movement in the political blocks and it does seem to indicate it’s the second poll since the Iran operation began and it’s the second one that seems to show that while Israelis did support the Iran engagement they do not support their prime minister uh going forward either visa v Gaza or his general handling of matters in this country no thanks for

The Iran-Israel truce appears to be holding, with life in Israel returning to a semblance of normalcy. Meanwhile, a US intelligence report casts doubt on claims that Iran’s nuclear facilities were fully obliterated. If it emerges that the nuclear programme is not ended, it could deal a devastating blow to Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu, as FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky explains.

  1. Of course it’s not gone. Iran has libraries, universities and institutions. Persians are intelligent people. In a modern world. Nobody can bomb knowledge. It’s out there!

  2. There is no doubts no matter how many times you say it, Iran nuclear program has been hit 'bigly'. And as Trump said, will be hit again should the Ayatollahs try to rebuild it again.

  3. We don't want Netanyahu, even if he succeeded in Iran! The majority didn't want him before, and we don't want him now!

  4. FRANCE 24 English "forgets" to mention that Hamas is Iran`s proxy and that Iran has been occupying Gaza through their proxy Hamas. And still is, sad to say. I would like to remind you that Hamas could end this madness today simply by lifting a white flag and by realising all their remaining hostages. FRANCE 24 English "forgets" to mention that too.

  5. The IRGC does not have the facilities to further enrich, or develop nukes, the other 2 facilities which were destroyed. They need to rebuild from scratch. The can was kicked down the road, unless the Iranian people can retake their country from oppression. Drones are flying into both air spaces, and no one knows who is doing it.

  6. Here's the bottom line. Israel and the US did everything they could to dismantle Iran's nuclear program FROM THE AIR. We now know it will require a GROUND war to completely dismantle the nuclear program and no country is willing to do that.

No other Prime Minister has done as much as Netanyahu to take on Iran's nuclear program. And, he has shown that Iran cannot hide behind proxies any more. Globally, Israel is viewed as regional super power and that hasn't happened since 1967.

I also believe Netanyahu has created the greatest oppurtunity for the Saudis to join the Abraham Accords and pray it comes to fruition!
    🙏

  7. Netanyahu found out from US intel that Iran hadn't considered nukes since 2003. Israel immediately began planning their illegal strike on Iran.

Trump suggests talks with Iran on Enrichment. Sky News reporter confronts Israeli spokesperson reminding him Israel does not allow journalists in Gaza. Two days later 170 media organizations demand to enter Gaza. One day later 200 media organizations demand to enter Gaza.

The next day Trump abandons talks and withdraws all troops.

The next day Israel illegally bombs Iran.

The next day Trump announces that "We successfully bombed Iran."

Within the week an Israeli tank opens fire on Gazans waiting for food, killing 46.

The next day Trump bombs Iran and declares that it's not an act of war.
