Hyundai Samho’s parent HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering said on Friday that the shipbuilder will build the vessels for an unidentified owner in Oceania.
Moreover, the delivery of the four LNG carriers is expected to be completed by August 2028.
HD KSOE said the contract is worth about 1.4 trillion won ($1.03 billion), or about $257 million per vessel.
Last year, Hyundai Samho also secured an order to build four LNG carriers from an owner in Oceania.
These vessels are worth about $1.08 billion and are scheduled for delivery by January 2028.
This order was tied to Evangelos Marinakis-led Capital.
With the latest order, HD KSOE and its units have secured orders for a total of 76 vessels, including five LNG carriers and six LNG bunkering vessels, worth $10.5 billion so far this year.
HD KSOE achieved 58.2 percent of its annual order target of $18.05 billion.
