  1. Union Jack/Tricolour are allowed. Only paramilitary flags are illegal.

  2. Because it’s not illegal to put flags up. Blame your politicians who haven’t the balls to change the law.

  3. This is just an idiot post, if they went around taking all the flags down on the shankill and falls taking flags down they would never be anywhere else. Paramilitary flags should be taken down, not country flags of ireland/UK.

  4. Why wouldn’t they put flags up there? Isn’t the Garvaghy Road littered with flags also?

  5. It’s almost July – this happens every year. These flags are allowed by the council and it’s not an offence so the peelers won’t get involved.

  6. It looks just outside shamrock park Portadown. Is that whole area not massively loyalist?

  7. Themuns doing things usens don’t do so we don’t

  8. If you stop caring about things like this your life will get better.

  9. When the epitaph of Northern Ireland is written of all NIs evils primarily it will say it could never outgrow the sectarianism from which it was spawned.

  10. Ah you see the issue here is it’s not a pensioner placing a sticker on an ATM, I mean come on guys

  11. No offence to the Union Jack of course, is that what they’re doing? Aren’t they supposed to pee on it? The lamppost?

  12. If you are complaining about a Union Flag being erected in a loyalist area of Portadown, you’ve a miserable life ahead.

  13. I be quite happy to see no flags on public property other than designated flag poles but politicians on both sides would never agree to it.

  14. Fair play to them for following health and safety measures by making sure soda hole is at the bottom holding the whole show steady. You wouldna seen that in the 70s. Just pile up a bunch of slats and clamber on up there and hope for the best ya know

  15. Lads I reckon we should just start sticking up tricolours wherever. I’m sick of playing the quiet ones

  16. Since it’s not illegal, We should just start putting up our own very silly unserious flags next to their flags. Any flag ideas?

  17. Of course. They’re buddies with the people putting the flags up.
