Former Bayern Munich coaches Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel will both be in attendance for the final match of the UEFA Under-21 EURO on Saturday, as reported by X site @iMiaSanMia. Nagelsmann will be representing as Germany’s senior team manager, while Tuchel is in the same position in England.
Germany and England will face each other for the second time in this competition after coming out of the same group. Germany beat England on the final matchday of group play 2-1. Germany finished the group a top the group with three wins and nine points. England squeaked by with just four points.
In the knockouts, England best Spain 3-1 in the quarterfinals before dispatching the Netherlands 2-1 in the semifinals. Germany struggled with Italy in the quarterfinals. Italy equalized in the sixth minute of stoppage time, requiring a 117th minute winner. Germany handled France easily in the semifinals with a 3-0 win.
The final will be held in Bratislava, Slovakia in the Tehelné pole (the National Stadium of Slovakia at 3:00 PM EDT on Saturday.
