Vauxhall Station closed due to unavailability of staff. Again! I hope someone in management is getting sacked for this, it happens way too often!

Sounds like they shouldn’t be sacking anybody; they clearly need all the staff they can get!
They were already sacked, that’s why there’s no one available to make the rota.
Does the whole network run on staff doing overtime as the previous government wouldn’t let them hire more staff? So if people are sick or refuse overtime, nobody is avaliable?
“someone should be sacked” you sound like a yank

The managers paid themselves big bonuses for reducing the head count amongst operational staff.

I always thought they prioritised staff in stations like this that interchange with National Rail.
*”No staff?? Someone needs to get sacked for this!”*
Someone getting sacked 😂…. You’ve not dealt with the RMT before have you.
If TfL sacked anyone for that the Unions would shut the network down.
Used to happen at Aldgate east quite a few times but they seem to have fixed that. What gets me is this a very rough job market, loads of people looking for work that can’t find anything.
Tfl hire more staff ffs
I really hate that station
Have you ever tried sacking someone in the public sector? It’s borderline impossible.
With the amount of money it costs, I should get a pretty blonde to walk me down the stairs.
I’d happily work there
Average salaries at TfL are insane and performance management borderline impossible as it is public sector. It is a mix of union pressure that leads to an entitled workforce who wants to do the minimum for maximum money and very inefficient management that takes ages to evolve in the environment. Good stuff
“Things don’t go my way so people should be sacked” hop on a bus across the river and get on at one of the 50 tube stations around there
London underground just got rid of a load of staff in the latest job cuts, moved loads of others around the place all last Sunday.
It’s not been that smooth as u can’t cut staff and expect the same amount of people in to open stations
Consider the wider costs to the nation for something like this, it’s insane how we cost /benefit transport in this country
Good job Surrey aren’t playing at the Oval today /s
You wanna sack somebody because there’s no staff? What does sacking somebody do? Removes even more staff.
Almost 5% of London population are getting unemployment benefits but TFL can’t get enough staff for Vauxhall station???
Where do I leave my resume ?
Hope you get sacked OP
TfL is a racket. They unionised and own the major and the city and now they run things as they like and they set up the standards whilst keep asking for more money 1-2 times a year. They should be sacked all at once and TfL taken over by the Americans.
