DERBY LINE, Vt. (WCAX) – Authorities are searching for a person who they say broke into multiple unlocked cars, a garage, and tried to break into a business.
Vermont State Police say Saturday around 2:30 a.m., they got a report of a person trying to break into a closed business on Beach Street in Derby Line village.
Troopers said a camera caught the suspect around 2 a.m., trying to break into the business and then going into two parked cars.
Authorities sad neither the vehicles or business were damaged.
Troopers said the suspect also broke into a residential detached garage, also on Beach Street. They said the suspect went in through an unlocked window and disturbed items inside, but it’s unclear if anything was taken.
