  2. NATO has been on Russia’s borders since the creation of NATO. Canada and the US share a northern border with Russia. The reason Putin invaded Crimea and then the rest of Ukraine is obvious. Its the very same reason Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia.

  7. It’s great to cover this whole history, but I have to say, the people who are flogging the myth do not give a shit.

    They need to be deplatformed, not reasoned with.

    Or let’s put it this way. One we deplatform them, then and only then are they going to suddenly be willing to hear the facts. Tankies are power-worshippers. As long a they think that power is on their side, they will follow whatever delusional unreality Putin feeds them.

  9. NATO could’ve been the reason Putin didn’t invade Ukraine, but instead they fussy pussyfooted around the bully instead of standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine against him. Ukraine could’ve been in NATO and well on their way to EU membership significantly before the full-scale invasion, but instead they’re weathering waves and waves of drones and banzai charges on the behalf of NATO for the cost of old equipment that was going to be decommissioned anyway.

    Putin was terrified that if Ukraine would join it would be forever outside of Russia’s sphere of influence. So he invaded before it happened.

    Put more simply – Ukraine would never have gotten invaded if it actually WAS in the NATO.
