As the title suggests, this post is going to be discussing Sandra Andersen Eira. Some of you may have heard of her before. For those who haven't, she's a Norwegian who went to volunteer in Ukraine when the war began back in 2022. I've been following her on social media for a while now and I wanted to discuss some inconsistencies that I've picked up on. This post is a collection of verifiable, publicly available statements and images she has shared.

1: The Ukrainian Foreign Legion/International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine. In May 2022, Sandra gave an interview where she specifically says "I arrived in Ukraine at the beginning of March. My combat unit was the first one to be deployed by the International Legion up to the northern area of Kyiv and helped to liberate it".

There's also this separate interview where she's on video again saying she was in the Foreign Legion. Go to 4:25

So by her own words, she was a member of the Foreign Legion.

Since then, however, she has changed tune and now consistently denies ever having been in the Legion, and instead states that she enlisted directly into the Ukrainian Marine Corps. Despite multiple photos she has posted of herself wearing the Legion patch.

2: Her statements about her involvement with the Ukrainian Marine Corps. Referencing again her interview with The New Voice of Ukraine, "I arrived in Ukraine at the beginning of March." I'll give the benefit of the doubt and assume she meant March 1st, 2022.

But take a look at this tweet. "The day we were sent to Moschun, march 5th". I haven't been able to find any mention in her socials that she had any military experience prior to going to Ukraine. So if these dates are to be believed, she joined the Ukrainian Marine Corps, completed all necessary processing and training, and was sent into a major combat zone over the span of 4 days.

3: Her role in the Ukrainian military. Let's go back to her interview again. "All my friends are military, so being a combat medic – it’s all I wanted to do."

And this tweet. "I'm not a medic anymore". So for a time, she did serve as a medic. But again, no info that she ever worked in health care or had medical training prior to Ukraine.

4: Her medals. Specifically this one. It's not included in the Wikipedia article on Ukrainian military awards. But I did find it on eBay.

5: "Combat" photos. Like these. Quoting her directly again, "This is on a frontline pos waiting to exfil, a beautiful fall day. Enemy right behind us. Spent days running from drones." But with "the enemy right behind us", they stop to do a husband and wife photoshoot. And for someone who "spent days running from drones" through a forested area, her tan pants look very clean. And another volunteer soldier in Ukraine called her out on this. Rather than addressing the points he made, she just started throwing insults.

Well, that's about it. Now, I'm not denying that she is involved with the Ukrainian military, or even that she has seen combat. I think she's provided sufficient evidence for both. But I still think these inconsistencies should be addressed.
