  1. Wasn’t the selling point of nuclear that its output is stable? Lol

  2. That’s what you get when you don’t update and build newer infrastructure.

  3. Suddenly, the nuclear bros of Reddit are suspiciously quiet.

  4. Man… nuclear plants are built in literal deserts. This because humans and nuclear plants share a common need: water. Thus wherever electricity is needed (i.e. where humans live), a nuclear plant can be built. I’m sure whatever is needed to cool down water in a desert, can also be done in Switzerland.

Perhaps the long term concerns on going full throttle with energy sources that depends on climate when the very climate is changing in an unpredicatable way, should focus on energy sources that actually depends on climate.

  5. We should build the next nuclear power plant next to a lake where the warm water doesn’t have a big impact. Küssnacht on Lake Zurich, Weggis on the Vierwaldstättersee or Cologny on Lac Leman. Which one should it be? 😈

  6. That’s the consequence of not building a cooling tower
