This yellow stain on the bathroom ceiling appeared out of nowhere. It looked a bit greasy and wet. I do ventilate every single time I use the shower and even more often.

I already did spray the Schimmel Entferner and literally nothing changed, not even a bit.

Any idea what it could be? What am I supposed to do? Thanks a lot!!

  1. looks more like water damage. water transportet some dirt/minerals there and coloured it that way. the worse thing might be, that there could be water in the wall.

  2. It’s definitely some kind of moisture. Check the attic space for a roof leak or check for condensation after your shower. Keep the vent on well after your shower.

  3. Might be some kind of moisture collection, check the other end of it.

  4. Not mold (yet), you had a waterdamage. when gipsum gets to wet, some components wash out and create a (please dont lick it) yellow salt.

    Just clean the surface and paint it. Of course after you fix whatever causes the waterdamage.
