Trump hopes for Israel-Gaza ceasefire ‘some time next week’

1. President Trump has said he will be “very firm” with Binyamin Netanyahu when the two leaders meet at the White House next week about pushing for a ceasefire in Gaza.

   Trump said that the Israeli prime minister “wants to end the war”, adding that a deal to release the last of the Israeli hostages could be agreed next week.

   “We hope it’s going to happen. And we’re looking forward to it happening some time next week,” he told reporters as he left Washington DC for a day trip to Florida. “We want to get the hostages out”

2. Surprised he didn’t go with his customary heel dragging response of “two weeks.”

3. What do these ceasefires solve? Why is there no follow up, both with Iran and Gaza as well as India-Pakistan, ceasefires are nice but i thought trump prides himself on big deals…

4. So funny to hear Trump use the word “hope” as if he didn’t have unilateral control over the the situation. *”I hope to stop beating my wife sometime next week.”*

5. Not getting my hopes up at all. This has been talked about for so long.
