So just finger in the air maths here but vat on that had it been legal would be £2400000. A police Scotland starting salary is £31,466 per year. Had this been legal and taxed it could have paid for an additional 76 police officers helping with real crimes. What’s the public really concerned about here? A small seizure that will see absolutely no one go without cannabis and not even scratch the surface of an OCG’s turnover? I think they are probably more concerned that if they called the police in an emergency the chances are high that if they even turn up it’ll be late due to staffing issues. But hey high fives all round the office at police Scotland job well done guys.
