That guy is so hardwired into the mindset of “sinn fein bad” that he completely missed the point.
Complete and utter clown.
I’m not even sure what response he was expecting to that question?
Irish Government announces €800 million in funding to be allocated to NI in 2024
Tara Mills question to Leo Varadkar: “Do you worry that this might feel a little bit unnerving for Unionists today?”
People voting for who they want to vote for is democracy manifest

Biggest Unionist party raking in close to 200 seats for years: ‘Ah it’ll be grand’
Sinn Fein getting nearly 150: ‘Where did we leave the goalpost movers?’
50 years of one party UUP rule here.
What a dickhead question.
Played the game and you lost folks.
Carruthers is a wab.
Did he try to think of the most idiotic question possible? That’s really embarrassing for him, whoever he is.
The BBC doesn’t have a bias you know
Mfw when people vote for their favourite party, leaving them with more decision making power (outrageous)
Is this BBC advocating to move away from a first past the post voting system? Would be pretty off brand if so!
I don’t know what the fuss is about here.
This is journalism 101 when a party gets as big as Sinn Fein (or any similarly dominant party) – there will always be a “guilt” question about how it is reducing the representation of smaller parties.
Happens in every election all over the UK and Ireland and the question will be asked to any party in the same position.
No “BBC are anti Sinn Fein!” conspiracy nonsense needed.
Did she ever explain why she was allowed to break covid rules to attend a ira members funeral yet family members weren’t allowed to attend loved ones?
In Scotland we were often told there was a ‘one party state’ with an SNP majority, and simultaneously told that a Westminster government without a majority was weak and ineffective. Our media was pretty much unanimous on this. It ends up implying that devolved or local government should be weak and ineffective by design, but not the proper government, and of course it’s just a desperate attempt to detract from the implications of the result.
Find it hard to like Michelle sometimes but that was a smart answer
Imagine having to listen to these clearly biased unionist presenters yap because times are different
Very controversial to be voted in by the people nowadays
Democracy you say. Let’s wheel out Danny Kennedy to get his take on that SF are too successful and should actually field less candidates.
Democracy is when coalition ig
I liked it more when Mark used to show off his colourful socks and overly shortened trousers. When his questions weren’t hard shitty rhetoric, and all he had was his poor choices in socks and tailors.
How can you even ask that question lol
Same pattern everywhere these days. Any political idea you don’t like is a threat to democracy, meanwhile its democratically elected government which is eroding democracy because really, who else has the power to?
Not my leaders. Until our leaders learn to speak clearly without this grading high frequency shrill , we won’t be seen as professional or serious.
Our politicians sound like broken airhorns.
It’s the tone and frequency of it. I don’t care what they say anymore as they lie, besides I can’t understand what an airhorn is trying to enunciate.
