
South Dakota was graced with a vice presidential visit Thursday, as Air Force Two touched down at Rapid City Regional Airport carrying President Donald Trump’s No. 2.
Vice President JD Vance made the trip to the Black Hills in observance of Independence Day, traveling to the Keystone-area and the Mount Rushmore National Monument with his wife and three children. But the vice president’s travel plans were in doubt earlier in the day as congressional gridlock in Washington briefly kept him grounded in the nation’s capital.
