Chart-topping Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin has praised Malta following a visit to the country.

In an Instagram post referring to Malta as a “fine little island”, Martin said of his trip he had “disembarked, got sun-kissed, over-caffeinated, fed like royalty, and flirted with the idea of never leaving”.

“The people? Warm. The food? Dangerous. The Maltese coffee? Maltese magic in a cup”, said Martin.

Photos of Martin enjoying popular tourist spots in Mdina, Dingli, Għar Lapsi and Siġġiewi accompanied the post.

“Yeah, I’m coming back soon🫶 Malta, Grazzi ħafna”.

The 53-year-old singer is known for hits including La Vida Loca, She Bangs and Shake Your Bon-Bon. His music incorporates a range of genres including Latin, pop, dance, reggaeton, and salsa.

With over 70 million album sales worldwide, Martin is one of the best-selling Latin artists of all time.

This year sees the singer perform in South America, USA and Australia.
