A new Luxembourgish 1500m metre national record was set Saturday afternoon (5 July) by athlete Vera Bertemes at a meeting in Poznan, Poland.

The Luxembourger completed the track in 00:04:05.58, 34 hundredths of a second faster than her previous record, set last year on the same course.
In May, she also won gold for Luxembourg in the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE).
