Well, it's arrived. It's Sunday again. How lazy (or busy) are you going to be? Tell us all about your plans for today, whether it be working, cooking, sleeping, going out for the day, or anything else.

  1. I haven’t slept well but I’m grateful for the rain. Had a really busy day yesterday so we will be lounging today. Cooking something with crispy tofu, roasted garlic radishes, patty pan squash from the garden.

  2. Not a very lazy sunday for me as I’m going to see SLAYEEERRR

  3. About to go running and then some warhammer for the day

  4. The temperature has finally dropped massively, and clouded over, so no need to rush out early for my daily walk.

The village has its annual car show today, plus it is the usual sunday fresh produce market.

So off out later for some fruit and veg, pop in the charity shop, and then see what has turned up at the show. There is usually a hundred old cars, no clue where they appear from, the village is tiny. Ranges from pre ww1 to a brand new McLaren, with an obvious french car bias.

Otherwise it is a cooking and baking day, I am utterly out of home made ready meals in the freezer.

Then a long Sunday walk round the lake, it has been too hot for an afternoon walk for a couple of months.

  5. Am off to work and have some fairly complex patients to look forward to.
Although should be home to work about midday if all goes well (it won’t).

Hoping that maybe the other half will have at least cleaned the house and made food but I may be stretching it a bit far so will end up doing it myself when I get back….

  6. Finally, rain! It’s been weeks without any rain at all where I am. All the wood pigeons are having a little party in the road.

I’m going to make the most of the cooler weather and maybe do some of my ironing I’ve been putting off.

  7. Sitting on the sofa feeling achy from yesterday morning’s skatepark session. Children have been up since 530 so trying to keep them entertained without attacking each other.

It’s drizzly here today so that probably means going out for tea and cake later.

  8. Morning all. I was trying to think of something funny to say, but decided to just be factual as – frankly – I’m not that funny anyway

I’m a 49 year old married father of two and today looks like this:

    – My wife is taking our daughter (10) to a squash tournament. It’s at a nice clubhouse (Shoutout Northern Squash Club and Northern Rugby in Newcastle!)

    – I’m taking my son (7) to the cinema to see the latest, pointless instalment of Jurassic Park. I imagine it’s going to be like being run through a washing machine spin cycle.

Fingers crossed I get to watch some tennis or F1 today.

  9. At work this morning, finished at 12pm.

It’s just started to rain, the sound is wonderful. It would be better if the god awful PC backup fans were not whirring away at 40 decibels.

I’m thinking of going for a coffee after work, but I’ll probably just go home. If the rain stops I may go out and do some gardening, I have a seating area under a tree that really needs clearing, and a patch of weeds that is making me ashamed lol.

  10. Putting the finishing touches to a powerpoint presentation I’ll be showing off as the last part of a job interview process tomorrow.

The house has finally cooled down from the heatwave last weekend, so overnight temperatures are bearable without fans and air conditioning finally – just in time for the next heatwave to hit.

I’ll be rotisserie’ing a chicken later for dinner. Just need to decide on what sides to have with it.
