2. China thinking Taiwan won’t have much to lose if attacked is bold. Let’s see how it plays out. Just one damn taken out and there goes a third of their economy.

3. That’s a pretty big ask. Considering how much trouble Russia is having with Ukraine alone, it is hard to imagine that Putin legitimately thinks he has a chance of taking on the entirety of NATO all at once, while still fighting with Ukraine. He probably recognizes that’s a way to end his reign pretty quickly

   Russia is meat wave attacking Ukraine and getting their ass handed to them.

   Europe has, let me check, oh yeah…F-35’s. And storm shadow missiles. And a lot of tanks.

   Given Russia’s current forces, The EU could be in Moscow within a week.

They smelled the weakness of the west early on in this conflict, all they’ll do is threaten wider EU war and Nuclear bombing, vs letting them take Taiwan and avoid mass world casualties; they realize western countries care waaay too much about their own people to take such a risk and will fold. Russia will gladly oblige China, they saw first hand all they’ll have to do is make some threats and strongest military in the world will sit back and watch as long as it’s not them.

8. New title: When China invades Taiwan they will ask Putin to force his senior citizens to ride Donkeys west into land mines and drone swarms.

9. After seeing how Russian anti air performed against 5th gen fighters in Iran and Syria the result would most likely be interesting to say the least. With correct preparation such a Russian attack could lead to air superiority by the European part of NATO alone. Then good luck with any more meat assault attempts.

11. Now, that would be World War III. I think it should be quite obvious that helping Ukraine so that Russia don’t have the capability to attack NATO would indeed prevent the full World War III from erupting.

12. The actual strategy to counter this would be to either ignore the Russian threat and strike very deep into China’s industrial money maker or to decapitate Russia’s chain of command by performing an operation deep into Russia and then proceed to strike China.

    There is no point in engaging Russia in a traditional war as is already shown in Ukraine. NATO members will need to leverage their air superiority and expertise for precision strikes to disable the Russian military capacity from the rear. Once the grunts run out of ammo and food without resupply they’ll be a lot easier to remove.

    Strategic bombing of Shenzhen, Guangdong, Hongkong, Shanghai, Beijing will be a fine operation to bring Pooh to negotiations. China is too dependent on their exports, so that is where we can hurt them. Best set up semi-conductor manufacturing outside of Taiwan though.

15. Misleading title. Taiwan isn’t going to be invaded by Martians 👽. The title should read: When we launch an unprovoked attack, we’ll go right, you go left, 🇨🇳 asks 🇷🇺.

16. If China gets involved in European conflicts the Chinese shouldn’t be surprised when those same nations get involved in its conflicts. Although to be fair, they could just ignore Taiwan with zero negative consequences for the Chinese.

    The Taiwan thing reminds me of political distractions used by leaders to unify people behind some dumb populist cause so they ignore everything else. It’s like Trump with immigration, Russia with Ukraine/Georgia, Venezuela with the Falkland Islands, and everything else in history like it.

17. Why would Russia do that? As a favor? They’d get completely crushed. That’s exactly the conflict that they’ve been trying to avoid for decades.

18. Good thing these two nations really dosent talk very well together. Imagine if they each invaded their respective nation at the same time. That would most likely force Nato to choose.

21. Russia is getting wrung out just through invading Ukraine. A country armed with largely surplus out of date NATO gear and improvised drones. They’re not going to last long in an actual war with NATO.

    Getting a sizable Chinese force to go after a singular and well defended Island would only work in our favor. Taking Taiwan would ruin them.

22. How quick could we get Taiwan into NATO? Asking for a friend.
