They could easily tear it down and build a new psychiatric hospital thus leading to less suicidal people being told they can either drive down to North Yorkshire and be committed there or just tough it out and call their doctor the next opening day
Lot of old mental asylums now shut down due to advances in mental health I’m aware it doesn’t make right having all these old buildings derelict put them to good use much like all the old sandstone schools up and down Glasgow we have a shortage of housing why not put to good use instead of having pigeons and rats as squatters and greedy house builders eyeing up the next development

They turned the Craighouse part of The Royal Edinburgh into astonishingly expensive flats. (It was Napier Uni for a while)
