Maccabi Tel Aviv has officially responded to recent speculation surrounding the futures of Rokas Jokubaitis and Jaylen Hoard, firmly rejecting claims that either player is set to leave the club.
The Israeli powerhouse addressed reports from German media suggesting that Jokubaitis is close to signing with Bayern Munich, despite being under contract.
According to those reports, the Lithuanian guard is hesitant to return to Israel due to ongoing conflict in the region.
In response, Maccabi Tel Aviv released a statement reaffirming their commitment to the player:
“The club wishes to clarify that Rokas Jokobaitis is the team’s player. The entire organization appreciates and cherishes Rokas and looks forward to his arrival at the start of training. Jokobaitis quickly became a key player, with many qualities on and off the pitch, and we are excited for his second season in yellow.”
The club also took the opportunity to dispel rumors regarding Jaylen Hoard’s status, following unverified suggestions that he might leave despite recently extending his contract.
“Meanwhile, the rumors about a buyout of Jaylen Hoard are baseless. The forward is a professional, as well as a positive and highly respected figure at the club.”
According to Israeli outlet Walla Sport, Maccabi Tel Aviv remains firm in its expectation that Jokubaitis will report on time for the start of preseason preparations.
