I think I’d want to see that, the British museum is going to be rammed
Let’s just not give it back. What’s the worst they can do?
We nicked it museum
Pah, there’s been one of those in Reading for years
Absolutely historic and a really nice gesture from the French. It will be tough to get tickets and pretty rammed even if you can manage it, but this is one exhibition I’d love to see.
Fun fact(s) about the Bayeaux Tapestry: it’s not from Bayeaux, and it’s not a tapestry.
Saw it as a kid. Really didn’t appreciate it back then.
What was the thing I saw in the Battle museum? I thought it was there? I even went twice. I swear I’m getting dementia.
I saw it on a school trip when I was about 12 and it’s still easily one of the most amazing interesting things I’ve ever seen
I saw this in Bayeux and thought it was quality. Definitely worth going to see.
Oooooh, the Just Stop Oil guys will have a field day with this 😂
Bordeaux….like the tapestry yeh?
and we get to see all 93 penises on the tapestry in close up glory
I went to see it in France on a school trip about 30 years ago. You listened to this audio tour which was really boring right up until the end when it said “William the Bastard” was dead, and it really emphasised the *bastard*, so instead of it sounding like “William, the illegitimate son…” it sounded like “William, the complete arsehole.”
Then we went to a cheese museum that reeked.
We’ve captured another one for the museum! *British war noises*
Well, I hope France is OK not seeing it for a while
