In awe at the size of this lad
I recently found one in our garden in distress, but after a months stay at the local hedgehog hospital I got to release him back into the garden. No idea where he is now though.
Quite rare being out in the daylight! We’ve got a nature camera and feed ours every night but they only start to come out after 10 normally.

Have them visiting my garden quite regularly whilst they are doing their rounds. Had one a few years ago that would come up to me to get fed, after 2 years of me gaining his trust, he wouldn’t eat from my hand though. A mates dog killed him in my garden one night, I’m still not talking to that dog.
Hey OP, was this taken in the evening? Just wondering because hogs are mostly nocturnal creatures with an odd exception 👍. Hogs out during the day aren’t in good health. Just a heads-up ❤️

Last year I received a note from our neighbourhood to warn people who use automatic lawn mowers/ trimmers.
Hedgehogs are highly susceptible to injury from the blades. Our neighbours had found injured/ maimed hedgehogs.
If nothing else, **Please** don’t leave them running from dusk onwards.
OP, it’s lovely to see we now have a mammoth hedgehog being supported in your parents garden. They look like they’re on stilts when they run.
