Washington: In a remark that once again unsettles New Delhi, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has again credited President Donald Trump with preventing the war between India and Pakistan, a conflict he suggested could have escalated to a nuclear level.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking at a Cabinet meeting at the White House late Tuesday evening, Rubio hailed Trump’s foreign policy record, stating, “Under your leadership, we’ve prevented and ended a war between India and Pakistan.”

He further praised Trump for helping to end conflicts in regions like the Congo, Rwanda, the Middle East, and the Caucasus.

Notably, Rubio’s remarks echoed Trump’s own claims made just a day earlier during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
