  1. I fail to understand why people build houses near flood-prone rivers, or camp near them.

  2. They say this is not the time to politicize a tragedy, because preventing tragedies is political.

  3. Funny how the right only incites their base to condemn the government, but never inspires their supporters to study the structures and systems of government.

  4. Texas: *fights against aid for California*
Also Texas: *on blended knee begging for aid*

  5. Coming soon: privatized weather alerts! For only $29.99/month you too can get life saving emergency weather information!

  6. Reagan came to office saying government was the enemy, when the previous 8 decades had seen government used by its people for its people more than at any time in human history, despite two wars and a previous era of rising prejudice that spilled into the first part of that era.

*And no journalist or historian could see that.  Even those alive today did not believe “No Dogs, No Irish” signs were really.  We are the most educated group of idiots in history.

  7. Yet the Red States are the biggest consumers of federal money and a significant percent of the Southern Scarlet states are more than 50% government employment. These fools are blind, deaf, and dumb and proud of it.
