POLAND TWP., Ohio –
A lifelong resident of Poland Township has announced his candidacy for a seat on the Poland Township Board of Trustees.
Frank J. DeMain III announced his candidacy in a news release on Wednesday.

According to the release, DeMain has served Poland Township as a police officer for over 20 years before retiring in April of 2024.
“Serving and protecting this township was more than a job – it was a calling,” said DeMain within the release.
DeMain continued,” Now, I’m ready to continue serving in a different capacity, using the same dedication and commitment to the people of Poland Township.”
DeMain transitioned into the private sector 10 years ago according to the release. He has built a career as a business professional with Aim Transportation Solutions as their Director of National Accounts and Sales.
Within these roles, DeMain feels that he has developed skills in operational management, budgeting, performance metrics and team leadership.
DeMain told 21 News that he graduated from Youngstown State University in August of 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Science and Applied Science with a core focus of legal processes and business management.
Additionally, DeMain told 21 News that he is a 2025 graduate of the Leadership Mahoning Valley program.
According to the Leadership Mahoning Valley LinkedIn page, it is a “non-profit corporation created to identify individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience who demonstrate leadership talent and community commitment”.
“My career in both public service and business has prepared me to make responsible decisions, manage resources efficiently and listen to the needs of the community,” said DeMain.
According to the release, DeMain’s platform centers on transparency, accountability and a deep commitment to the residents of Poland Township.
DeMain is aiming to seek the support of his fellow Poland Township residents ahead of the November 4, 2025 election.
