    Is it dangerous yes, if it can travel under water undetected from a great distance and detonate but causing a nuclear tsunami I highly doubt.

    Plus we have subs in the ocean at all times, Russia knows this and knows any attack on the US would not be good for Russia.

    At that time many said ”bull”, and some speculated that if there were truth to this technology, Putin would order a demonstration blast somewhere in the Arctic.

  25. Given Russian technology, especially with submarines, the Poseidon is more likely to become an ecological nightmare by sinking or disappearing after internal failures. Or becoming a geopolitical hazard if/when it accidentally goes off. That is what has me worried about this damned thing, not that it’ll ever be used in anger.
