Flows on TC Energy Corp.’s North Baja (NBAJA) system have risen above 600 MMcf/d over the past few days as northwestern Mexico pulls more U.S. natural gas.

California exports into Mexico have averaged 530 MMcf/d so far in July, up from 410 MMcf/d in June, according to NGI calculations.
This may be because deliveries are ramping up to Sempra’s Energía Costa Azul (ECA) Phase 1 LNG re-export terminal in Mexico’s Ensenada, according to NGI senior energy analyst Josiah Clinedinst.
