The annual inflation rate in Moldova rose to 8.2% in June 2025 from 7.9% in the previous month.

This marked the highest inflation rate since March, driven by a faster increase in food prices, which climbed to an over two-year high of 10% from 9.7% in May, particularly for vegetables and fruits.

Additionally, inflation continued to rise for services (14.6% vs 14.5%), mainly due to higher costs of communal & housing and medical services.

Price growth for non-food products also increased by 2% from 1.8% in the prior month.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up by 0.2% in June, the lowest in four months, slowing from a 0.4% gain in the preceding period.
