6. It’s sad, but I don’t see a downside other than the loss of life in general. War is stupid. People keep doing it, though. Ukraine is absolutely humiliating Putin and his sick fantasies. I am not sorry about this. I have no sympathy for anyone but Ukrainians that are displaced, injured or killed. Sorry. I just don’t.

   Putin is delusional and a mass murdering war criminal. He has Trump in his pocket and the GOP, but it isn’t enough. Trump couldn’t deliver a US turnaround on the world opinion of Russia. The whole Canada/Greenland annexation fiasco is 100% Putin. Trump’s pissing all over NATO and the EU is not only unconstitutional, it has no other function than to poison the well and destabilize the democracies (the US isn’t one any longer) closest to Putin.

   If you use “it’s for Putin’s benefit” as the rationale for why Trump does utterly bizarre things that seem to be utterly baffling to a normal thinker, you will never be wrong.

   During Trumps speech this week the he basically said: Poor poor Russian soldiers die, ah yes Ukrainian soldiers die, no one else dies, because Russia only targets soldiers.

   Was so funny when Merz tricked him into acknowledging that Ukrainians civilians die, but he quickly corrected himself and said oh no, he meant on the battlefield.

8. Messaging from US admin sure turned very pro-Ukraine in the last few days.
