A 25-year-old man from Gwynedd has tragically lost his life after falling from a hotel balcony in Malta. The British tourist, whose identity has not yet been released, died in the early hours of Friday following the fall in St Julian’s, a well-known holiday destination on the Mediterranean island.
Despite the immediate response of medical personnel, it is understood that the man was declared dead at the scene. Police investigations are ongoing. Condolences and messages of support have been pouring in for his family and friends.
Liz Saville Roberts, MP for Dwyfor Meirionnydd, expressed her sorrow.
She said: “Heartbreaking news. My heart goes out to the young man’s family at this extremely difficult time.”
Senedd member Sian Gwenllian also shared her condolences. She said: “News of the death of a 25-year-old from Gwynedd in Malta is truly devastating. The pain his family must be experiencing is unimaginable.”
“My thoughts, and those of the people of Gwynedd, are with the family in their grief.”
