In Vovchansk, Kharkiv Region, on January 26, 2025, an infantryman of the 42nd separate battalion of the 57th OMBR, Viktor Alupoy, under the pseudonym “Marsel”, during his first combat sortie, having suffered several wounds, entered into hand-to-hand combat with the enemy and won.

An enemy group of four attack aircraft tried to take his position “Iskra”, he destroyed three on the approach with small arms, but one managed to jump into the building to him. At the moment when Viktor saw the enemy, he jammed his machine gun, a fight broke out between them, the enemy managed to stab him with a knife, but Marcel managed to take it away and eliminate the attacker. During the evacuation, Viktor suffered another blow – an FPV drone hit him in the leg. With numerous injuries on crutches, he overcame the damaged bridge that had fallen into the river and walked several kilometers.
