  1. Now you know why Norwegians generally “drink themselves up” at home before going out late at night.

  2. Yeah, there is a reasons Norwegian has a whole thing with getting drunk at home before going out 😅

  3. The price of beer was definitely shocking to me as a tourist. It definitely limited how much I drank while there… not that I get shit housed but going out to a bar just to hang somewhere at night that wasn’t the hotel was not a cheap proposition.

  4. I don’t know where people live that they have so much cheaper beer, pubs in Edinburgh sell pints for 7 to 10 pounds which is around 100 to 135 kroner.

  5. Tilbake til karsk. Sukker + gjær = sunt husholdningsregnskap.

  6. God, I miss Sommersby pear, it’s hard to find in the U.S. You’re not in Voss, are you?

  7. Excessive prices. But capitalism is about supply and demand. I tend to bring a few beers when I go hiking, even if there is service where I am going. I might be extremely cheap, but I’d rather carry 3kg extra for the hike, than pay the extortionate prices.

This has bit me in the ass more times than I can count, but still worth it imo. At least the trip home is easier.
