Belarus is always ready to co-operate with Moldova, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his today’s meeting with Chairman of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) Igor Dodon at the Palace of Independence in Minsk

“Alive!” the Head of State warmly welcomed Igor Dodon in his office.

“Let them not even count on it!” the Moldovan guest replied. “I’m very glad to be here, Aleksandr Grigorievich!”

“I truly appreciate that you came to see us in spite of all the challenges and difficulties. I’d like to hear firsthand what is happening in Moldova,” the Belarusian leader stated.

The Head of State mentioned media as the primary source of information about developments in Moldova for the country, “Obviously, there are other people who inform us, but it is important to hear from you about the situation. You know my attitude towards Moldova. This is a blooming garden, where beautiful people live. Like Belarusians, they are very hard-working.”

The President of Belarus stated that he is unable to travel to Moldova because of the country’s current policies. However, he always has pleasant memories of his meetings with Igor Dodon, recalling the time the leaders of the two countries planted corn in a field outside Chisinau using Belarusian tractors.
