(Dečin and Ústí nad Labem area)
Beautiful scenery – Good and very affordable food in restaurants, many local dishes and drinks on the menu which is a big plus in my opinion, as food is a big part of experiencing another country – Easy and friendly driving with less traffic than many other European countries, roads are well kept and in good condition, but the road signs and on the tarmac is a little different so intersections needed getting used to, parking is free most places – Walking feels/is safe, also alone in the evenings – Possible to pay by card or cellphone in 98% of shops, restaurants and other services like laundromats – Not many mosquitoes compared to the Nordic countries (start July) didn’t meet any annoying flies – Friendly and helpful people that don’t bother tourists unnecessary, my crude estimate is that 50% speaks either enough german or english to help you out if you don’t speak Czech and need directions- Possible to find locally produced fruits, honey and vegetables on Facebook Marketplace or SBAZAR.CZ – Generally very clean cities and streets and clean public toilets in supermarkets and other public places, unsure how well waste management works, as I saw some overflowing trash dumpsters, but nature, rivers and streams look clean without trash, and I saw many fish in the clear mountain streams – Air feels clean and from mountain tops visibility is really good.
North/west Czechia 🇨🇿 is definitely worth a visit 👍👍👍 Thank you from Denmark 🇩🇰

  1. Its rare to see some tourists visit our forbidden lands of Ustecky Kraj. Thx for your visit, glad you liked it!

  2. Did you know Ústí is considered one of the worst parts in our country?🤣
    The cities at the least!

  3. A visitor from Denmark calls our cities clean. Wow! After my trip to Denmark, where I visited Copenhagen and Odense, I immediately noticed, how my city is dirty.

  4. I am happy you liked it here on north-west ! I hope it’s not for the last time 🙂 ! You’re welcome, anytime !

  5. Glad you liked Czechia, you should definitely visit Pilsen and Karlsbad, it’s very similar to Aussig but better in every single way.
