Good news, everybody. It’s not going to get infinitely hotter.

  1. So it’s a few nice days then back to the usual grey. Fantastic.

  2. Come on climate change deniers.

Give me your best excuse for the third bout of hell like temperatures of 2025.

  3. All heatwaves peak. Hence the “wave” element of the term. Hardly the greatest revelation by Sky.

  4. AM gonna go against the grain and say UK weather is pretty fantastic if you ask me.

    Why?

    It’s so variable.

Throughout a year the UK experiences a bit of everything.

Cold, heat, rain, sun, rain, cloud, fog, thunderstorms, snow, windy, the UK gets it all without the devastation of severe earthquakes tornados tsunamis.

The problem with the UK is the infrastructure. UK houses ain’t built for all the variation.

Being born in 1990, it does seem to me that the heat waves we experience now in 2025 are worse than those we felt in 2000 and I do believe in climate change.

But normally, I think the UK experiences some of the best weather on planet Earth. If we didn’t, the country wouldn’t be so brilliantly green.

This small landmass can go from 35°C to -5°C in the space of 6 to 7 months.

We get to experience cold long nights and warm long days.

The UK isn’t bombarded with a multitude of deadly creatures or tropical diseases either. The only thing to look out for are the vaccine deniers.

Geographically we’re extremely lucky and it makes me feel like being in a 1% of the human population in that regard.

Would you want to live in a place that’s hot all year long? Or cold all year long? Or just desert? Nah me neither.

Give me green and all sorts of weather thank you very much! We may moan about it when it’s too hot or too cloudy, but at least we get to experience it all and remain relatively safe.

  5. Its been a slightly above average summer so far. You lot are insane thinking this is hot🙄😂

  6. Why is it always a heatwave and not just summer? Late 20s aren’t that crazy for this time of year

  7. Currently looking at the 22C forecast for Tuesday as some kind of holy intervention.

  8. I think yesterday was the peak and tomorrow it breaks back to 24c. I’ll need a jacket after melting.

This is south west for me so probably hotter in south east.

  9. I’m curious if when they say “summer” they mean from the end of June, or from end of march when the clocks changed.

As if it’s end of June, that’s a lot of heatwaves in the last few weeks
