  6. Finally, the Americans are returning to reason in this regard. It took far too long, but I think Trump needed the blow to his inflated ego, and now the time has finally come. Let’s hope for Ukraine and the rest of the Western world that this package will be the sledgehammer.

    What they are really doing is somehow pulling Brazil (which seems to be the new target for whatever reason) into this war only to have a reason to sanction them.

    Trump will always act in coordination with Putin. Don’t be naive.

  27. If they actually go through with this, im sure it is to gain some respect back and to take the heat off of the Epstein thing. Maybe the discussion could shift to Ukraine aid instead of the client list and that would benefit the orange one.

  30. The key part of this is ‘selling weapons’ so the ‘record arms package’ is ‘look how much money we just made’

    As he mentions ‘seized assets’ at best we can hope the ‘selling’ part is frozen russian assets is how it is paid for.

Trump’s losing much support with his MAGA base over the Epstein debacle these days, he might now be turning to the traditional Republicans for support and they have been pretty consistent in wanting to aid Ukraine(most of them are old enough to have been senior politicians during the Cold War).

  34. Of course I will not be happy, before I see it.

    But this is promising. I am student of psychology, and Trump displays all the classic traits of a narcissist. He might actually have been convinced, since he has a very big ego, that he could get Putin the the table. He promised his voters he would end this conflict in a short time span. This has not worked. He thought he was buddy with Putin, but Putin is just a former KGB officer, trained in the arts of deception, and an oathtaker to protect the Soviet Empire.

    If we are lucky, Putins actions and unwillingness has triggered what is called a “narcissistic rage” in Trump. Also it is more and more evident, that China is the force, that is keeping Russian in the game of war. Trump does not like China, and he now feels his ego is wounded, since his buddy Putin, is closer friends with Xi Xingping, whose minister of foreign affairs, have stated that “China cannot allow Russia to loose, since then all of NATO will be turned to defending Taiwan”.

    If we are lucky and seeing a narcissistic rage from Trump, combined with his loathing and racism of China, then things might get spicy. If this is the case, and if frozen Russian assets, can be used directly to trade for western high tech weapons, it will suck even more to be a Russian soldier in the coming 6 months.

    But we will have to wait and see. Trump has disappointing many times before.
