In November, interest rates on loans granted to households in the month for the purchase of homes, including ancillary costs (Annual Percentage Rate, APR) stood at 3,71 percent (3,74 in October). This is what emerges from the publication “Banks and money: national series – November 2024” by the Bank of Italy.
The share of these loans with an initial rate fixation period of up to one year was 7 percent (as in the previous month). The APR on new consumer credit disbursements stood at 10,24 percent (10,42 in the previous month).
Interest rates on new loans to non-financial corporations were 4,53 percent (4,70 in the previous month), those for amounts up to 1 million euros were 5,07 percent, while rates on new loans above this threshold were 4,15 percent. Passive rates on all outstanding deposits were 0,93 percent (0,96 in the previous month).
