  1. He’s kidding, right?

Moaning like fuck about the weather *is* the British way of life.

  2. Britain being invaded by that foreign Saharan jet stream.

  3. More under threat because of him and his inept lunatic mates.

  4. brace yourselves boys, it’s about to be 20 degrees Celsius in the UK

  5. Is he wrong though?.

Most homes aren’t really equipped to deal with heat and humidity which goes beyond a certain level. AirCon isn’t a standard feature in most homes b- leaving older people and those living with certain health conditions at risk of heatstroke or similar.

  6. Jesus this news cycle of 7-10 days is a joke.
It’s the boats. It’s HS2. It’s taxing the rich. It’s migrant hotels. It’s the weather. It’s too hot. It’s too cold. It’s too wet. It’s too dry.

Fml it’s almost like they don’t want to focus and fix anything in the world logically and to a good standard…

  7. The horse has bolted Ed. I don’t think we are going to change the weather by paying more tax on the things you choose.

  8. Bloody weather. Coming over ‘ere and spoiling our seasons.

  9. Don’t worry lads climate change isn’t real I saw a guy on GBnews who said so.

  10. Government mandated drizzle and grey light stations to be set up across the country to help us cope.

  11. Make it affordable for us to have AC then. Highest electric prices in the world ect ect.

  12. It’s a refreshing change to see a politician use the phrase “our way of life” without it being a horrific racist dog whistle…

And yes, I agree. I am not built for heat, at all. I feel like a polar bear stranded in the Sahara some days.

  13. Look if the UK becomes net zero then climate change will still happen. So our best response is to adapt by encouraging air-conditioning, growing Mediterranean crops and building flood defence. If we want to reverse climate change my personal opinion is to encourage plankton population growth

  14. He’s not wrong. For you reform voters with your head in the sand about climate change (don’t look at your party donors and funders, ay?) – think about this. Climate change is one of the biggest underlying reasons for mass migrations, as was also predicted. It’s in your interests to challenge that industry if you want people to not have to move.

  15. If only he hadn’t been in a really unflattering photograph of him eating a sandwich…

  16. How does the massive increase in electricity required for all the electric cars and air conditioning units fit into his green renewable energy plan?

  17. Nothing to do with a government working against us and completely uncontrolled migration….blame the weather chuck in the stars and moon if you like

  18. You mean the entire biosphere surely Ed. Let’s not mess about.

  19. Thought this was going in a total different direction by the first half of that sentence

  20. It’s certainly under threat but not from climate change. And him and his Student Union political mates are a big part of the problem.

  21. Another excuse that will be used to create another tax.

  22. Our way of life is under threat that’s for sure. Just wish the government was so quick to call out the real elephant in the room.

  23. Calm down, it hot for a couple of weeks! It’ll be back to the same old cold and wet soon.

  24. This is true. However water companies have failed to foresee and act on the need for more water reservoirs and cutting down on the amount of water wasted.

Water being one of the necessities of life should be given much more importance and not allowed to be run (Badly) as a private business
