“Aye, Your Ma Went To See The Pleasure Boys.” She Did, Actually:

After The Devenish debacle, which I thought was good craic, my mother went to The Beehive sometime last year to see The Pleasure Boys.

She said she had a quare time and that it was all good craic and banter. She really enjoyed herself and she came home in wrinkles laughing, telling me about a wee elderly lady who was absolutely loving it.

My mother and father are divorced, and my da is still bitter about the whole thing. Me and my mum have joked about sending the photos of her, with The Pleasure Boys, to him.

So, see if anyone even insults me with, “Aye your ma went to see The Pleasure Boys,” I can’t even deny it.

To make matters worse, my da did genuinely used to sell Avon products. I’m a real victim of, “Your da sells Avon.”

Keeping my head up though, because at least none of my parents are the bus lane camera wankers.
